Joining HM Business School: Merging Language, Business, and Education

Back in March, I quietly embarked on a new chapter—one I’ve been meaning to share for a while now. Life has had me juggling several projects simultaneously, but this update is long overdue: I’ve joined the Faculty of Business Administration (Fakultät 10) at the Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.

Hochschule München—Germany’s largest university of applied sciences—is a vibrant, forward-looking institution with fourteen faculties, each deeply rooted in practice-oriented teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration. Fakultät 10, the Business School, is particularly unique in its close engagement with industry partners across Munich and beyond—offering students a learning experience that genuinely bridges academia and real-world business contexts.

At HM, I’ve taken on the role of delivering English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses in Macroeconomics and Business & Entrepreneurship. These modules have given me a chance to integrate my background in linguistics with hands-on business experience, particularly in entrepreneurship. Working with highly motivated students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds has been both enriching and intellectually stimulating.

Being based in Munich—a true hub of innovation and enterprise—adds an extra layer of dynamism to this experience. Whether it’s through curriculum development, interdisciplinary dialogue, or daily interactions with students, the focus on applied learning resonates strongly with my own pedagogical values.

I’m looking forward to what lies ahead and to continuing to develop engaging, meaningful learning experiences that connect language with practice.
